Welcome to The Little Nook:静寂の部屋 (seijaku no heya, or "the silent room"). My name's Alicia, nice to meetcha! I've lived in Japan for almost five years and am crazy about the language, modern and ancient Japanese history, anime, manga, and Jpop. This country has earned my deepest admiration and respect. It's an interesting amusement park one day and a frightening, alien landscape the next, for Nippon spins on a dime without warning. Delight in her exquisite warmth, but 'ware the steelsharp fangs and claws!

The Nook is something I've thought about and carried with me for a long time. Who knows what final form it'll take, but for now it's a warm spot where people can relax and catch their breath. Doujinshi lovers feeling that subtle itch of wanting in the backs of their minds will peruse the shelves until their fingers stop on the slim volume they've been searching for.
